New Screen Time Guidelines

A new screen time guideline has come out and has be recreated for children and teenagers. A sleep and exercise guideline has also been recreate by the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, and Sport NZ. The guide for a healthy 24 hours is:

  • No more than 2 hours of screen time.
  • Uninterrupted sleep of 9-11 hours of sleep for 5-13 year olds, and 8-10 hours of sleep for 14-17 year olds.
  • Move more and sit less.
  • Activities that strengthen bones and physical activities.
