Earthquake Hits Near Turkey!

A magnitude 6.7 earthquake hit near Turkish and Greek tourist places in the Aegean Sea. On a popular Greek holiday island, 2 people died and 100 injured from the earthquake. About 70 people in Turkey’s Bodrum were admitted to hospital.

The US Geological Survey said that the earthquake was very shallow and was 10km below the seabed. Turkey is located between the Arabian plate and the Eurasian plate so Turkey is prone to earthquakes.
