30.3.17 If I met Richie McCaw… I would ask Richie McCaw what breakfast he has and why? I would thank him for be a great leader of the world’s best rugby team! He never gives up supports and his teammates. I would ask him how long he practises for and how many days? I would also ask him if he was interested in any other sports as well. Mt Etna Erupts!!!

21.3.17 In Italy, Mt Etna erupts! Mt Etna is on the island of Sicily and is one of the most active volcanoes in the world! The mountain usually erupts a few times a year. The steam was seen rising and an explosion. Everyone got off the mountain safely and there were no serious injuries.  

Before Camp

21.3.17 My goal for camp is to face all the challenges and do the best that I can. I am going to camp because I want to complete all the challenges. The skills, strengths, qualities, and powers I will need are: Resilience, Connecting, Communication, and Motivation! I will need Resilience so I do not give up on any challenges. I will need Connecting to connect with others and my activity group. I will need Communication to communicate to my team and to help each other out. I will need Motivation to keep others going and to support them! If I have a problem at camp, I will tell the people around me, a parent, or a teacher. The teacher or the people around me will help me solve my problem. For my activity group I will share ideas and support each member. I will see loads of awesome activities and hear lots of voices so I will need to listen carefully for the teachers instructions! For camp we are going to the All Seasons Kiwi Holiday Park! 14.3.17 Weekly News World's Oldest Crocodiles Eggs Found! In Portugal, they have found the world’s oldest crocodile eggs. The eggs that they found were in cliffs on the western side of the country. The eggs were laid 152 million years ago by the mother crocodile. Crocodile fossils are quite common to in the fossil record. When dinosaurs were alive, the Sarcosuchus crocodile lived in Africa and ate dinosaurs and fish. I think it is cool that they found crocodile eggs that were 152 million years old! I wonder how they find out how old eggs are? I found this information from Kiwi Kids News.
